No-Cook Chocolate Mousse (pudding, frosting, sauce) depending on consistency
This is almost death by chocolate. You’ve seen those triple chocolate cakes sold in the stores. I think this tastes even better and it is actually good for the body. Couldn’t be quicker or easier to make to boot!
Chocolate Mousse1 & 1/2 cups avocados (3 to 5 depending on size) scant 1 cup coconut sugar 3/4 cup cocoa powder 1 tsp vanilla 1/3 cup water ( more for a sauce) mash avocados lightly in measure cup
put into food processor along with the coconut sugar and blend together until well blended Add vanilla, cocoa and 1/3 cup water, Blend until smooth scraping down sides as needed Very best if allowed to get cold Why coconut sugar?
If you want to make a chocolate sauce to pour over cake or ice cream add more water till you have the consistency you want.
My husband doesn’t care for avocados but now he will eat them everyday if I have this on hand. Sometimes for Sunday breakfast I will put the chocolate mousse on the bottom of a large soup dish, cut bananas to cover, add a few nuts and that is a decadent breakfast that is actually full of nutrition. Food and life doesn’t get better than this. Give it a try to see if you agree.
